The programme started with an official session. Mr. Rohith R., Head, Dept. of Commerce and Coordinator of IQAC, delivered a welcome note. Dr. Babu. P. K, Principal, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science gave the presidential address in which he spoke of the initiative and the need to enhance the quality of research among students. Ms. Renjitha. K. R, Assistant Professor of English, and Coordinator, Al Shifa Project Prize, gave a vote of thanks. Mr. Nithin. D, Assistant Professor of Economics did anchoring in the session. The official session came to an end at 10.30 AM.
A short presentation was given by Ms. Renjitha. K. R, for the shortlisted students on Al Shifa Project Prize, Al Shifa International Student Seminar (ALISS 2022), and Afterwords- the interdisciplinary e-journal of Al Shifa College of Arts and Science. After the presentation, the Open Defence of students from the programme of Economics started at 10.45 AM
Dr. Pramod. K. M, Head, Dept. of Economics, Amberdkar College of Arts and Science, was the panelist to judge the projects from Economics. The first presentation was given by Muhammad Shibiliyan. K, former student of DGM MES Mampad College, Mampad, on his project. The second presentation was given by Bhavatharani from Govt. College, Chittur. Out of the five shortlisted students, only two were able to come for the Open Defence. Dr. Pramod addressed the presenters and the session came to an end at 11.30 AM. The winners from Economics are as follows:
Ms. Vineetha. M. K, Asst. professor of English, Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, was the judge of the Open Defence of English project. All the five shortlisted candidates were present for the Open Defence. The presentations came to an end at 1.30 PM. Ms. Fathima Febina. P and Ms. Shehnas C. from EMEA College of Arts and Science were declared to win the fourth and fifth place respectively. The winners from English are as follows:
Mr. Pramod. P, Asst. Professor of Commerce, Sri Kerala Varma College, Thrissur was the judge of the Open Defence in Commerce. Four out of the five shortlisted candidates were present. The presentation started at 1.45 PM and came to an end at 3 PM. Ms. Fathima Shameema. E. K from KTM College, Karuvarakundu, secured fourth place in the competition. The winners from Commerce are as follows:
Shortlisted candidates were given certificates and winners were informed that cash prizes would be distributed on the inauguration of the new campus in the month of July.
