OBC-Minority Welfare Cell
Al-Shifa College of Arts and Science recognizes the importance of fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Minority communities. The OBC-Minority Welfare Cell is established to address the specific needs and concerns of students from these communities and to promote their holistic development within the academic framework of the college.
OBJECTIVES
- Inclusive Education: Ensure equal access to quality education for students from OBC and Minority communities, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Financial Support: Identify and facilitate financial assistance programs, scholarships, and fee concessions to alleviate economic barriers faced by students from OBC and Minority backgrounds.
- Mentorship and Counseling: Provide mentorship programs and counseling services to support the academic and personal growth of OBC and Minority students, addressing any challenges they may encounter.
- Awareness and Sensitization: Conduct workshops and awareness programs to sensitize the college community about the diverse needs and perspectives of OBC and Minority students.
- Networking and Collaboration: Establish connections with government agencies, NGOs, and other institutions to enhance opportunities and resources available to OBC and Minority students.
