The Trading Club and the Department of Commerce at Al Shifa College of Arts and Science, Keezhattur, organized a session on ‘Computational Finance and Data Driven Investment’ on January 13 2022, in the college seminar hall at . The trading club was inaugurated by Dr. Babu P. K., Principle, Al Shifa College of Arts and Science. He spoke on the significance of giving importance to acquiring additional skills with their program. Mr. Syamraj, Research Scholar, PG & Research Department of Commerce, Mar Ivanios College (Autonomous), Affiliated to University of Kerala, delivered a talk on ‘Computational Finance and Data Driven Investment’. Mr. Syamraj focused on the risk & return part of stock market trading and how the trade can be done with a long term return. He also showed some models for predictions and portfolio optimization.
Mr. Suhaib P, Assistant Professor of Commerce and coordinator of ACAS Trading Club gave the formal welcome note and Rohit Ravi, HOD of Commerce gave the felicitation address. They shared the present scope and importance of online trading platforms with the students. The session started at 12.00PM and came to an end at 1.30 PM
